Well done Spain

Well Spain pulled out, it sure is refreshing to see a country that actually seems to handle this whole democracy deal.

The days after 9/11 where for the majority of the US spent watching the propaganda on TV. The days after the madrid bombings the majority of spain marched with CND signs and anti-war slogans in the streets, the old Spanish goverment ignored this and paid the price and lied to them, as a result the new Spainish goverment have shown a great example to the world and thier countrys politics.

Obviously the neocons and freepers will start with the 'coward' speeches, but they need to remember Spain will happily go back if they give the control to the UN not the USA.

Many of the 'right' have said this sends a direct message to the terrorist's, i would like to think it sends a direct message to bush and blair that sometimes goverments cannot get away with whatever they choose, and should learn to respect thier public.

The US suffers an attack and claim any who do not support are traiters, Spain suffers an attack and are condemmed for thier decision to pull out, the word 'hypocrisy' springs to mind.

As for spain helping to free iraq from terrorists and al-qaeda...Iraq was never never involved in terrorism, and saddam despised osama. Iraq today has more terrorists in it now than it probably ever has had, all lined up for a pop at america, well done bush for uniting everything you tried to destroy.
